Panel lining systems
Panel lining systems can be used for man-entry pipes and usually comprise pre-formed GRP or GRC sections that are constructed in the factory to dimensions provided from the site after a host pipe survey. They can be supplied as circular, ovoid, or any other dimensional requirement as they are usually made to order to the size required. Installation involves cleaning of the host pipe followed by the installation of the liner sections which are inserted into the pipe and supported against the host pipe with spacers to the correct line and level required.
As installation proceeds, normally from the farthest end of the renovation run towards the main access point, the installed sections annulus is grouted with a cement compound to complete the lining formation.
This creates a combination pipeline which whilst the overall diameter may be reduced may offer increased flows due the to the low friction coefficient of the liner installed. Sections can be varied in construction to allow for host pipe diameter changes, bends or other deformations.
