DVA Bamford to Ambergate Ambergate SSR to Crich SR

The Ambergate to Crich project involved the installation of a 450mm SDR17 PE pipeline using Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) beneath a designated Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). The route passed through hard rock and was subject to tight environmental and spatial constraints. While HDD is a well-established trenchless technique, its application under such stringent ecological and geological conditions required exceptional planning and execution. The project was delivered on time and within budget.

UV-CIPP lining project at a live airport in the North West

McBreen Enviro UK successfully delivered a technically complex UV-CIPP lining project at a live airport in the North West.

The 95m-long sewer presented major challenges, including a mid-length diameter transition from 900mm to 750mm and severe structural defects such as cracks, collapses, and displacements.

With limited access, strict operational controls, and no excavation permitted, our team used precision trenchless methods and a bespoke tapered liner to restore full structural integrity – overcoming restricted access, no-dig conditions, and strict operational controls.

All works were completed on time, within budget, and with zero disruption to airport operations, proving trenchless technology as the safest, most effective solution for high-risk, high-pressure environments.
