UKSTT Annual Dinner Celebrates Industry Excellence with Record-Breaking Charity Fundraising and Sold-Out Attendance
Trenchless technology sector comes together for prestigious awards ceremony, raising £3,440 for mental health charity
The United Kingdom Society for Trenchless Technology (UKSTT) hosted a triumphant Annual Dinner and Awards Ceremony at the De Vere Tortworth Court Hotel on 2nd October 2025, celebrating outstanding achievements in the trenchless technology industry whilst raising funds for mental health awareness.
The prestigious event, which followed the successful NODIG Roadshow in Bristol, attracted a sold-out audience of 256 guests from across the trenchless technology sector. The evening recognised excellence through ten industry awards, honouring innovations and achievements that continue to advance trenchless technology applications throughout the UK.
Reverend Canon Kate Bottley joined UKSTT Chair Graham Howard as the evening’s special guest, captivating attendees with her engaging storytelling and infectious energy. Her presence added a unique dimension to the formal proceedings, creating an atmosphere that balanced professional recognition with genuine warmth and community spirit.
The evening’s most powerful moment came during a moving speech delivered by Liam Powell on behalf of the nominated charity Andy’s Man Club. His compelling presentation about the importance of mental health support for men resonated deeply with guests, resulting in an extraordinary fundraising total of £3,440. The generous donations were collected through the dedicated efforts of Leon Woods, Steve Butterworth, and Kate Bottley, who personally visited tables throughout the evening.
“The overwhelming response to our charity appeal demonstrates the compassion and community spirit that defines our industry,” said Graham Howard, UKSTT Chair. “Beyond celebrating technical excellence, this evening showcased our sector’s commitment to supporting vital causes that affect our colleagues and communities.”
The UKSTT Annual Dinner serves as the industry’s premier networking and recognition event, bringing together professionals from across the trenchless technology spectrum. The awards ceremony highlighted innovations in underground infrastructure, sustainable construction practices, and technological advancement that continue to position the UK as a leader in trenchless solutions.
The ceremony was made possible through the generous support of this year’s award sponsors: Bluelight Lining, Impreg, IMS Robotics UK, Lateral Repairs, Picote, Pro Lining Solutions, Prokasro, RSM Lining Supplies, RSP, Tracto, and Vortex. Their continued partnership demonstrates the collaborative spirit that drives innovation within the trenchless technology industry.
