PIPA Flowrider™ Trunk main inspection system now based in Ireland working with partners GMC!
After water pipe inspection company API successfully completed trials on Trunk main inspections last year for a client in Ireland, PIPA is proud to announce that partners GMC has signed an agreement to keep a Flowrider™ system based over in Ireland long term to deliver projects.
The Flowrider™ system was used to inspect internal pipe condition and configuration prior to a rehabilitation project, the advanced inspection system detected 2 leaks, and the pipe route was mapped by operatives from above ground in a single day.
The Flowrider™ system uses PIPA designed Hydrochutes for long range pipe inspections of up to 1000 metres using the water flow, the Hydrochutes include a remote collapse system for safe retrieval.
The PIPA system includes a chlorination housing and is approved for safe use in potable water networks. The camera sensors include ultra-bright COB lights, HD camera sensor with an ultra-responsive hydrophone.
