MAY IT RAIN STORM OR SNOW TODAY

MAY IT RAIN STORM OR SNOW TODAY

Because our IMPREGLiner shines like the sunshine , even though the installation day at Warmbronner Lake in Leonberg was rainy, full of mud and slippery.

For others, a reason to cancel. A reason for us to push through. Together with the team of Pfaffinger, we have shown that ditchless renovation works even in bad weather and difficult perimeter conditions.

Starting situation

The affected canal was heavily damaged by rubble and large stones washed away from the forest. After the elaborate clearing of Leonberg city drainage, the TV inspection showed: DN change from DN 600 to D️ DN 700, and a strong ovalization in the area of the crossing in the parking lot. Due to the local circumstances, an open construction method was not out of the question. Due to the damage, the renovation was urgently necessary.

Framework conditions

For the installation of the IMPREGLiner, the urban drainage Leonberg lowered the Warmbronner Lake to a defined level, so that the company Pfaffinger could work in a sewage-free state. For reasons of fish and species protection, this reduction was only approved until the end of October.

Preparation on the day before

Preparation of the channel with the multi-plant for the liners: milling sharp edges on the old pipes together + removing roots and inlays

Formation of a mineral wedge during the transition of DN switch

Construction and positioning of a pedestal for the liner box

In order for the box to be positioned at the entrance, the forest office cut open areas in advance and set up a small pumping swamp over which the incoming groundwater could be pumped.

Installation day

Since no wind could be positioned at the outlet, a rope connection was tightened across the lake. Despite the continuous rain, the move-in and hardening went on time and safely.

Facts about the IMPREGLiner

  • DN switch from DN 600 to DN 700
  • WD 6,5 mm
  • Peroxid
  • Total length 75 m

Big thanks to the entire Pfaffinger team for this strong effort in the rain and mud.
