IPSUM PARTNERS WITH OBIC IN EXCLUSIVE DEAL FOR UK MARKET

Leading engineering services provider, Ipsum, has announced its exclusive partnership with OBIC. The partnership will see Ipsum become the first and only UK provider of OBICs sustainable polyurea asset resilience and rehabilitation coating solution that when applied to manhole chambers, tanks and industrial structures, creates a leak tight and structural coating layer and can extend asset life for up to 50 years.

The announcement was fist made at the international trade fair for pipe and sewer technology RO-KA-TECH in Kassel, Germany and today in the UK at Northumbrian
Waters Innovation Festival.

The exclusive partnership will form part of Ipsum’s Sustainable Engineering drive which is focussed on providing innovative, low carbon, high impact solutions that meet theperformance standards required to meet the water challenges of today and tomorrow.

Mark Kaney, Ipsum’s Managing Director – Water, said: “With AMP8’s focus on environmental improvements, including the reduction of pollution and leakage, we have to find solutions that are more eYicient and sustainable by design.

“This partnership gives Ipsum’s customers access to Europe’s leading manhole and sewer lining coatings before anyone else. This method has proven to have less impact on communities, while reducing emissions associated with idling traYic often held up by traditional methodologies.”

Noah Walk, CEO of the OBIC GmbH, said: “The OBIC Armor System is able to extend a manhole´s service life by 50+ years even in harsh enviroments—achievable within as little as 60 minutes of lining work and ready to put back in to service after additional 30 minutes.

OBIC’s possibilities don´t stop there: OBIC is also engineered to rehabilitate largescale infrastructure, special structures and potable water structures (NSF61)— including tanks, pump stations, second containment and many more.”
