Ipsum goes Platinum!

Ipsum goes Platinum!

Ipsum is delighted to announce that the company has achieved Platinum status as a member of The 5% Club’s prestigious 2024-25 Employer Audit scheme.

The 5% Club works with UK employers and key influencers to inspire positive action for increased and accessible workplace learning – with a focus on apprentices, sponsored students and graduates.

Specialist engineering services provider Ipsum was previously awarded Gold in 2023 and 2024, with Platinum status – achieved by fewer than one in 10 of the club’s 1,200-plus members – awarded following a rigorous, independent Employer Audit.

Ipsum HR Director, Karen Harding, said:

“At Ipsum, we believe in investing in and supporting every individual to reach their full potential. The 5% Club Employer Audit independently validates our achievements and recognises our commitment to talent development at Ipsum.

“This accolade places us among the UK’s leaders in workforce development, showcasing our passion for creating learning environments where every colleague can succeed.

“We are a proud member of The 5% Club and to be recognised part of a growing movement of forward-thinking employers who are championing impactful workplace learning: this both strengthens our business and also the communities and industries in which we operate.”

Collectively, The 5% Club members support more than two million employees, with more than 121,000 engaged in ‘earn and learn’ programmes.

Mark Cameron OBE, Chief Executive at The 5% Club, added:

“We are incredibly proud of the outstanding employers, like Ipsum, who continue to raise the bar for workplace learning. Their dedication to creating rich and varied ‘earn and learn’ opportunities sets a remarkable example. By achieving Platinum membership, Ipsum has demonstrated an exceptional commitment to investing in people – shaping the skills of tomorrow and driving lasting impact for both business and society.”

Members of The 5% Club commit to:

supporting the UK’s growth agenda and recognising the importance of developing people as a business and social priority;
playing their part in tackling youth unemployment and closing skills gaps;
pledging to have at least 5% of their UK workforce in formalised ‘earn and learn’ schemes within five years;
measuring and reporting progress annually in their CSR or equivalent reports; and
encouraging other employers to join the movement.
