Danaher & Walsh Civil Engineering has made a commitment to Social Value, which we call ‘Engineered for Good’. We focus on the ten areas we believe we can make the biggest and best impact in the communities in which we work.
This case study is an example of our commitment to enhance communities.
Enhancing Communities
The Grove is a charity at the centre of a Leicestershire community in need of its services, which include a Foodbank, Mental Health Projects, a Befriending Scheme, Sport and Physical Activity, Volunteering and Training, and a Neighbourhood Board, amongst many others.
We will let the people at the Grove tell you what we did for them . . .
“We cannot thank the guys at Danaher & Walsh Civil Engineering enough for creating our Community Garden space here at The Grove Community Hub. They have completely transformed the area from an unused eyesore to a fantastic outdoor space, which will be enjoyed by children, young people and the wider community for years to come. We have already started to utilise this space for some of our activities, and have many more planned – such as Forest School sessions, use during our School Holiday Schemes and as an outdoor area for our Community Café. We are truly grateful for what they have done. Thank you from everyone at The Grove!”
