CP655 – Infiltration resistance testing of CIPP liners – Water Industry Specification out for public comment
Preventing infiltration into our sewer network is a major challenge for the UK Water industry in AMP8 to help reduce flows and help prevent CSO spills and so to help with this challenge WRc Group have worked collaboratively with Thames Water, Southern Water, Wessex Water, Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water, Severn Trent, Anglian Water Services and the Government of Jersey to develop a new specification of testing Cured-In-Place-Pipe liners for their resistance to infiltration. Eight CIPP suppliers (RSM Lining Supplies Global Ltd, OnSite Central Limited, SAERTEX multiCom Group, Lateral Repairs, Applied Felts, IMPREG GmbH, Inpipe Sweden AB, Lining Division Limited) were also involved in the development of the draft specification to enable water companies to procure lining systems that will provide a leak-tight solution for their sewerage systems.
The draft specification has been approved by the Water UK Standards Board for circulation for public comment for 3 months from 19th May.
Comments should be submitted by 19th August 2025 using the commenting form available on the at the same location.
