Delivery of Capital Works using TRENCHLESS TECHNOLOGIES – the practical applications for the renewal & new installation of networks
For engineers involved in asset major investment programmes in strategic assets, such as transmission cabling, pipelines and wastewater networks improvements, we are pleased to announce the latest details of our UKSTT Masterclass taking place in Leamington Spa.
Designers, Stantec will detail their approach to the design and optioneering of trenchless delivery on major strategic pipelines. As part of this session, we will then have an open workshop looking at real examples and seek the support of experts attending to consider how any trenchless technique could be optimised.
Specialist trenchless contractors, Gallagher, will detail previous projects where they have deployed various trenchless techniques, and explain why they were chosen based on asset diameter, length, ground conditions and working areas. Techniques and case studies include micro-tunnelling, auger-boring, directional drilling and Pipe Direct. This will be followed by an open workshop session.
Herrenknecht, leading global suppliers of tunnelling equipment, will complement our theme of trenchless new installation for utility infrastructure, exploring the latest tunnelling techniques used across the world, including explaining the Pipe Direct technique in more detail. The opportunity to discuss projects under consideration by delegates will be debated as part of the workshop.
Where clients want to seek to retain and renew existing strategic pressure pipelines, such as wastewater rising mains, water supply pipelines or similar pressure systems, the design and application of a close fit Polyethylene Pipe lining technique will be discussed, project case studies explained and a further open discussion available for delegates for consideration of their future projects.
