AI, Drones, Sensors and Robots for Smart Sewers and Urban Drainage 2026

AI, Drones, Sensors and Robots for Smart Sewers and Urban Drainage 2026

Wondering how AI is actually being used by sewer and urban drainage network owners, and where the HI (Human Intelligence) is needed? Curious about how the means of generating the data to train AI better manage underground assets is being generated by sensors and the platforms that carry them?

IKT – Institute for Underground Infrastructure’s second annual international AI, Drones, Sensors and Robots conference in Gelsenkirchen, Germany will be addressing these questions with the aid of succinct presentations from utilities and practitioners.

Over two days, Wednesday 11th and Thursday 12th February, attendees will encounter flying, floating, diving, walking and crawling robots, and hear about practical application of AI from users, experts and innovators. Day 1 focuses on the means of generating data and Day 2 on how AI is actually being applied by network owners. Overall, the aim is to provide greater clarity about where these are leading.
