40 years of Bagela and TRACTO in the UK
The Directors of Bagela, manufacturers of the famous GRUNDOWINCH, flew in from Germany in June for a special celebration with the TRACTO UK team to mark four decades in business together.
TRACTO UK signed up to become the sole distributor of Bagela’s extensive product range in 1985 and has since sold thousands of new and used units throughout the country – from the tip of Scotland to the tip of England and throughout Wales and Ireland too. Thanks to the functionality and practicality of the machines, it has been an extraordinary success story for TRACTO and Bagela. And, as well as sales of machines, TRACTO has been kept busy during the same period in the service department refurbishing, repairing and servicing the large UK fleet.
The famously German- engineered products include a range of cable pulling, Capstan and pipe renewal winches used primarily for cable laying and pipe renewal projects in the UK.
They have a superb reputation for longevity which was perfectly demonstrated by the arrival of a 35-year twin capstan Bagela winch into the Bedford depot during the visit. That unit is now being serviced and maintained ready to be put back to work.
Roger Wahl, Managing Director of TRACTO UK, was delighted to welcome Christof Dammeyer and Corinna Dammeyer, the owners of Bagela, along with their sons Lukas and Moritz to celebrate with the TRACTO UK team at a local restaurant;
