We have three sessions, one each on the three main groups of trenchless technologies, where we will be examining the barriers to adoption of trenchless, utilities needs for the technology, how to successfully raise awareness and the benefits.
Morning sessions
- Session 1 – Trenchless design and investigation, chaired by Tim Sargent, UKSTT Vice Chair
- Overview, two short presentations of trenchless in practice in these applications, then a panel discussion by the speakers and exhibitors of these technologies on the challenges we face.
- Session 2 – Trenchless repair and rehabilitation – chaired by Iain Naismith, UKSTT T&E Committee Chair
- Overview, two short presentations of trenchless in practice in these applications, then a panel discussion by the speakers and exhibitors of these technologies on the challenges we face.
- Session 3 – Trenchless renewal and new installation – chaired by Tim Sargent, UKSTT Vice Chair

Afternoon sessions
In two sessions we will be considering:
- The international trenchless scene
- Recruitment and the UKSTT New to Trenchless Industry Network
- Bringing trenchless to new markets – tramways and hydrogen
- Water industry reform
- Addressing regulations that stifle the adoption of trenchless
And to conclude the event – key takeaways from the day from the speakers.
