SMALL SCHEME (<70K)
This award is offered by UKSTT to encourage applicants to submit projects that, despite being small, are examples of excellence either technically or professionally, that they believe support the aims of the awards ethos as well as demonstrate innovation in street works and the protection of the environment. It is designed to encourage submissions from a wider range of entrants in the trenchless world that can be related to any underground infrastructure projects such as cables, ducts, culverts, & pipelines for any utility using trenchless techniques.

Restormel Treatment Works, Cornwall – Potable Water Pipeline Repair
Glanville Environmental’s Trenchless Division successfully sealed all remaining leaks within the pipeline using a trenchless, no-dig, internal approach. The result was a fully restored, high-integrity potable water main, delivered safely and efficiently within a highly complex operational environment. The project was completed with minimal environmental impact, aligned with Glanville’s Net Zero and Sustainability Policy, and ensured a continued reliable water supply for a significant portion of Cornwall. The outcome demonstrated both engineering innovation and a strong commitment to safety, compliance, and sustainability.

Eggesford Station Project
This project exemplifies excellence in small-scale trenchless works through outstanding project management, community engagement, regulatory compliance, sustainability, and innovative problem-solving. It highlights how technically challenging infrastructure improvements can be achieved efficiently and responsibly within a constrained budget and timeframe. Excellent example delivered by Glanville Environmental and our dedicated Trenchless Division.
PSS UTILITIES
British Sugar Pipe Bursting
PSS completed the repair of 300mm concrete pipework using innovative trenchless technology under fixed plant and assets on a site which was prone to flooding due to a full collapse. A scheme which was completed within budget, allotted timeframe all whilst removing the requirement for open cut excavations.
The repair was actioned using our WRC Condor approved short pipe modules Type T following our WRC Approved installation process.
By incorporating trenchless technology, the key aspects of sustainability were achieved, environmental risk reduction and reduced carbon emissions resulting in reduced construction waste for landfill.
