GLANVILLE ENVIRONMENTAL GEOSPATIAL DIVISION / EDWARDS DIVING SERVICES

The Pant Sinkhole – Detection, Location & Inspection

The Pant sinkhole crisis tested emergency infrastructure response on every level, and Glanville Environmental’s Geospatial Division rose to the challenge. With smart technology, professional discipline, and genuine care for the community, our team delivered essential services that minimised risk, disruption, and environmental impact. This project exemplifies the transformative role that remote inspection, location, and detection techniques can play in public safety, emergency engineering, and sustainable infrastructure.

ELECTRO SCAN UK LIMITED / CLANCY / SOUTHERN WATER

CIPP (Cured In Place Pipe) QA/QC using FELL technology

Electro Scan UK Ltd, in collaboration with Clancy and Southern Water, used its patented Focused Electrode Leak Location (FELL) technology to deliver post-CIPP quality assurance across multiple wastewater sites. Traditional CCTV inspections often failed to detect defects behind liners or at joints. Electro Scan’s ES-400 system automatically identified and quantified defects in litres per second, revealing undetected leaks and verifying rehabilitation effectiveness. The project provided Southern Water with objective, repeatable data to validate lining performance, reduce infiltration risk, and support AMP7/8 outcomes—marking a step-change in QA/QC standards for sewer rehabilitation.

GLANVILLE ENVIRONMENTAL / CLANCY GROUP / SOUTH WEST WATER

3D CSO Survey & Modelling

The 3D CSO Survey and Modelling project for South West Water exemplifies Glanville’s strengths in Detection, Location, and Inspection services, alongside our trenchless innovations, sustainable solutions, and efficient project delivery. Through a collaborative approach with the contractor Clancy Group and the client SWW and cutting-edge technology, our team delivered an accurate, safe, and no-dig solution that met the client’s regulatory and operational needs while minimising community disruption and environmental impact. This project sets a new standard for how critical underground assets can be surveyed and modelled, accurately, quickly, and with a one-visit philosophy.
