Russell Fairhurst Presented with ISTT Lifetime Service Award

Russell Fairhurst Presented with ISTT Lifetime Service Award at No-Dig Live 2026

UKSTT is delighted to celebrate the presentation of the International Society for Trenchless Technology (ISTT) Lifetime Service Award to Russell Fairhurst, recognising his longstanding service and contribution to the trenchless technology industry.

Russell was named as a recipient of the prestigious ISTT Lifetime Service Award in 2025, with the award originally presented during the International No-Dig event in Canada.

As Russell was unable to receive the award in person, UKSTT Chair Graham Howard and Past Chair Ian Ramsay proudly accepted the award and certificate on his behalf.

Following the event, the award was brought back to England and kept safely at the UKSTT office while an appropriate opportunity was sought to present it personally to Russell.

That opportunity finally arose at No-Dig Live 2026, where Russell was exhibiting with Mammoth. With Trevor Gosatti, Executive Director of ISTT, also attending the event, it provided a fitting occasion to formally complete the presentation.

In recognition of Russell’s contribution to the UK trenchless community, the ISTT Lifetime Service Award and certificate were presented to him by Trevor Gosatti and Iain Naismith, UKSTT Technical & Education Chair.

The presentation brought the award full circle — from its original announcement and acceptance in Canada in 2025 to finally reaching its intended recipient on home soil at one of the UK’s key trenchless industry events.

Russell’s Lifetime Service Award recognises the commitment, knowledge and support he has given to the trenchless technology sector over many years.

UKSTT warmly congratulates Russell on this thoroughly deserved international recognition and thanks him for his longstanding contribution to the trenchless community.
