IWJS, one of the UK’s leading providers of services to wastewater networks and part of M Group Services, has introduced the SpeedyLight+ UV LED curing system, a new LED light curing system that offers the potential to optimize operations and increase on-site working efficiency.
The technology embedded in the system offers IWJS teams working on sewer renovation projects the capacity to cure light-sensitive resin which can be impregnated into various mediums such as PU-coated needlefelt or glass re-enforced liners.
The system is able to cure resin at a speed of between 0.2 m/min and 1 m/min, with the variation in curing speed dependent on the LED head being used and the diameter of the pipe to be cured. Working diameters begin at 100mm and the system is capable of curing liners up to 300mm.
Another key feature of the SpeedyLight+ UV LED system is its interchangeable curing heads that allow for better maintenance and system cost optimisation. The low power requirement of LED technology means that the system can be powered from standard 220V mains or any 1.2 kW electrical source.
