Morrison Data Services, the UK’s leading utility data services provider to the energy and water
market, and a part of M Group Services, has secured a five-year contract to deliver meter reading,
front and back-office support services during the AMP7 regulatory period (2020-2025) on behalf of
Southern Water. The contract is valued at £14.5m and includes the option to extend by a further
three years into the AMP8 regulatory period.
Under the terms of the agreement, Morrison Data Services will provide both automated (drive/walk
by) and visual meter reading and data collection services, carrying out two million visits each year.
In addition, Morrison Data Services teams will provide front and back office services to manage
customer enquiries, appointments, scheduling and exceptions processing of up to 500,000 items
each year. There is also an option to provide further field services to Southern Water including
meter exchanges each year.
