Jet Aire will continue to develop our business in the transport infrastructure sector after passing our latest Supplier Assurance audit in the Railway Industry Supplier Qualification Scheme (RISQS) which is used by buyers of products and services throughout the industry.
RISQS applies rigorous standards in its role as a supplier pre-qualification service which streamlines procurement. The scheme supports Network Rail, Transport for London, passenger and freight operating companies, rolling stock organisations, main infrastructure contractors and many other buying organisations in the management of supply chain risk.
Having originally qualified for RISQS in 2019, Jet Aire have been
undergoing the scheme’s annual audit to continue as a pre-qualified supplier for a range of professional services including waste disposal, drainage and various related external works. We are delighted to report that – with support from rail industry compliance consultants, RAAS (UK) Ltd – we achieved an outstanding score and the company will operate for another twelve months as a RISQS supplier.
Jet Aire Managing Director, Darren Pavan, said:
“RISQS is an open, fair and transparent way for suppliers to be formally recognised as capable providers of products and services. Jet Aire’s RISQS qualification unlocked access to the sector and drove significant expansion in the past year. We have secured a wide range of contracts providing drainage services for rail infrastructure and we are now positioned to secure more over the next twelve months. We expect it to be a major area of growth in tandem with our long-established presence in the highways industry.”
Industry-owned and governed, RISQS is sponsored by a committee of representatives from across the rail industry. This reports into the Rail Safety and Standards Board (RSBB) Board, and RSSB provides a range of services to support operational delivery of the scheme.
