C.J. Kelly Associates recently announced that it has changed its branding to become C J Kelly International Ltd.
With the expansion of its representation across the UK and Ireland in particular the handling of Brawoliner and Picote equipment, the latter of which C J Kelly is the official UK distributor and Service Centre, as well as MC Construction Chemical and others, Senior partner John Kelly said: “We now find ourselves in a position where we have to establish our name not just as a UK and Ireland company but a Europe-wide one as well as for the future international operation. This branding change and company set-up also allows us to mitigate to a significant extent any future potential difficulties that may arise for our European-based operations post-Brexit. The name change and new operations are effective immediately.”
The changes will not however affect the ongoing operations of the company in terms of its current representations. As the hub of Picote’s UK operations, C.J. Kelly forms the centre of a growing network of resellers and rental operations that has been established across the country.
C.J. Kelly holds significant stock at its new facilities in Peterborough, UK for the full range of its partner companies. The new building comprises some 1,800 square feet of space and includes new offices, an equipment showroom as well as a conference/meeting and training facility. The company’s expansion into the new facility enhances it capability to offer a broader range of equipment whilst keeping larger stocks for quicker response to customer enquiries across its entire range, as well as the capacity to train new operators and update existing users to the latest innovations offered across the range.
The company is currently in the planning stage for an open day for existing and potential new clients to view the facility and see the full range of equipment now on offer through C J Kelly International Ltd.
Just last year C J Kelly marked its 20th anniversary of its association with Germany-based KOB the manufacturer of the Brawoliner system for which the company is world-renowned.
Initially in association with MC Construction Chemicals and then as an independent exclusive dealership, alongside the most popular Brawoliner, C.J. Kelly introduced to the UK over the years Brawoliner HT for higher temperature environments, Brawoliner 3D which adjusts to changes in host pipe diameters without the need for a separate liner, Brawoliner with diameters as small as 50 mm, the steam cure system for Brawoliner and the Docubox monitoring system for pipe lining. More recently the range has been extended with the new Lum Cure system which now offers both UV and LED curing for Brawoliner. The new system will allow the installation of liners using UV and LED sensitive resins not just in the more usual lateral and main line applications but the system is also designed to be compact enough to operate within buildings thereby enabling renovation of difficult to access in-building drainage pipes in as little as 90 minutes as compared with many competitive systems which offer a significantly longer process and which cannot negotiate changes in diameter and 90 degree bends in 100 to 150 mm diameter pipes.
C.J. Kelly International Ltd is also an approved training centre for in-house Brawoliner applications.
From its own stable C.J. Kelly also offers a Top Hat installation kit. The kit is designed to be easy to use for the operator with minimal training requirements even for those unfamiliar with the installation of lateral connections. It is available in three forms including a kit for 4 in (100 mm) diameter pipes, one for 6 in (150 mm) diameter pipes or a combined 4 in and 6 in diameter kit in one set. The new Top Hat Kit is exclusively available only from C.J. Kelly International Ltd and approved partners.
As well as the UK and Ireland distributor for internationally renowned names such as Brawoliner and Picote, the company also offers systems from MC Construction Chemicals, and Härke as well as the latest C.J. Kelly offering, Multi-Kit.
The new Multi-Kit pipe repair system is an innovative localised pipe and drain repair system packaged and distributed by C J Kelly International Ltd. One Multi-Kit pipe repair is capable of repairing 4 in to 6 in (DN100 to DN150) which are straight, radial or transitional pipes. Installation equipment is available separately. The resin contained within the Multi-Kit is a non-shrink, solvent-free and low odour silicate resin.
Martyn Kelly, Technical Director with C.J. Kelly International Ltd said: “We have reduced our new kit weight significantly compared to traditional kits on the market, this weight saving is mainly due to several single-use plastics being removed from the box, including a single-use protective groundsheet. To replace this groundsheet we are offering an optional ‘Board for life’. Our Board for life is lightweight, durable, reusable and more importantly recyclable.”
The benefits of Multi-Kit include:
• Cost-effective pipe and drain repair
• Convenient and easy to use
• Permanent and watertight pipe repairs
• Environmentally friendly
• Suitable for transitional repairs
• Reduced plastic waste compared to traditional kits
Each Multi-Kit contains a 700 mm long Brawoliner® TX 3D liner along with the necessary MC Chemicals silicate resin, two pairs of nitrile gloves and four 4 elastic bands which, with the installation equipment, is all that is required to complete a repair.
The company also offers independent consultancy in relation to a wide range of pipe rehabilitation options and design.
Commenting on future plans John Kelly said: “It has long been the aim of the company to offer the UK and Ireland pipeline renovation market a broader, quicker and more effective service both in terms of equipment availability and consultancy options. Our associations and partnerships with the wide range of companies we have built over the years is now showing huge advantages for the UK renovation market from cleaning to full rehabilitation both in the more usual pipeline situations and manhole repair to the fast growing in-building works that facilities and management companies are now demanding when works are required within their properties. We see a very strong future for all our technology offerings, especially the newer ones that facilitate speedy and low customer impact options. Our new branding also now positions us to look at markets outside of our ‘normal’ area of influence, despite what some of the latest gloom and doom merchants might say about Brexit. We see a bright future across our more traditional ranges right across the UK market and beyond.”
