Drag scraping involves the use of spring steel scraper blades winched back and forth through the pipe to remove encrustations. This method can be used on a wide range of pipe diameters from 75mm to 1000mm.

Rack boring is used to clean small pipes from 75mm to 300mm diameter. The process uses rotating steel flail arms to dislodge tuberculations adhering to the inner walls of the pipe and water to remove the debris.
